We recommend that this filter is replaced every 3-4 months. The sediment filter along with the carbon filter on your system act as prefilters to the RO filter. The regular replacement of the carbon and sediment filters ensures a greater life expectancy of the much more expensive RO filter. Failure to change the carbon and sediment filters regularly will result in the premature failure of the RO membrane.
